Description
PC13 starts in Strassen at the connection point with the PC1 and then runs in westerly direction by following the old roman track running parallel to the "route d’Arlon". Except for a small section in contrary direction in Strassen centre, the PC13 never actually touches the "route d’Arlon".
The cycle route passes Bertrange on its northern flank still on the "rue des Romains" and then continues to Mamer, the birth place of Nicolas Frantz. Whilst passing the town hall, you can have a look at the sculpture of Nicolas Frantz and Joseph Barthel.
The PC13 continues then next to the railroad station and with a short section on the CR102 "rue de Holzem" the cycle route turns left into the "rue du Baumbusch". From here on, until reaching Garnich and the N13, the PC13 stays on its own track. At the entrance of the village of Garnich, you will have to go downhill for some several hundreds metres on the national road N13 before turning right on the first street in Garnich. After 2 small climbs the PC13 reaches its connection point with the PC12 to Kleinbettingen or Clemency.
